A friend and co-worker set to retire at the end of this year told me her feelings about the tick tock of time. she hurries around doing the work of two people, very focused and hardly stops to speak. She hurries at work so that time will go by fast, but she so wishes for real time and returned time to slow down and take its time. That made me reflect on how I am pushing to be done with my hours, now down to nearly 100 of the 1,750 hours to earn my private practice license as a psychologist. We can still savor each moment, where ever we be, and good work is a good life. We are fortunate indeed if our work reflects our life and we can all brighten the day of another with a a little more effort. I've been working on playing and singing, True colors - that old Lauper song my sisters and I used to dance to in the living room. Your true colors are beautiful, like a rainbow. It is the storms and the rain that make for the best rainbows.
